The Weston Church's 5-Year Anniversary was Awesome!
(Posted Saturday, Sept 26, 2009, 11:48pm)
We so enjoyed the services. On Friday night, Bro Garlitz preached, and tonight, Pastor Benedum preached. Both of them preached masterpieces that ministered powerfully to the hearts of those in attendance. We were able to get photos Friday night, but forgot the camera tonight. We'll post the Friday pics here soon. Pastor and Sis Benedum were honored with gifts from Pastor and Sis Joseph and CAC. The Weston church truly loves their pastor and pastor's wife. What a great assembly they are becoming.

Meat Smoker Works Great - BBQ Dinner was Good!
(Posted by Pastor Doug Joseph, Monday, August 31, 2009, 9:24pm Central Time)
Yesterday was a wonderful day. We have one of the best churches anywhere. I just wanted to say a big thanks to all who worked so hard to prepare, and to all those who helped clean up. Thanks for all you do, and thanks for just being you.
Sincerely,
Pastor J
Update on Dinner Preparations / BBQ Meat Smoker Progress
(Posted by Pastor Doug Joseph, Friday, August 28, 2009, 10:39am Central Time)
A fridge has been purchased for the church kitchen, and it was delivered today.
Here's the plan for today, including update on the meat smoker: We are aiming to strip the kitchen floor to get it ready for re-waxing it. Our aim is to have it waxed before Sunday, either today or tomorrow. Then the fridge can be moved in. Anyone free to help today and/or tomorrow? Also, we have a little more work to do in getting the meat smoker finished and tested, and to get the fellowship hall ready for the dinner.
We have made a lot of progress on the meat smoker: Thanks to Bro Mike Sutton, who has worked several hours by himself on the smoker (as have I). And we have worked several hours together on it. Thanks to Bro Baron Claypool for donating an LP gas grill to be installed inside the smoker as the main heat source. Yesterday, Bro Sutton and I installed the grill! It is tested and works great. You will be impressed when you see the controls for an internal heat source — mounted externally. Nice. Also yesterday, I was able to build the wood smoker box (which goes inside the grill).
Today, we still need to install the heat resistant seal gasket around the right door (we did the left door yesterday). And we have to put a handle onto the lid of the grill.
We’re about ready to do a test today on the BBQ smoker! We love you all. See you soon.
Sincerely,
Pastor J
CAC Delegation at North American Youth Congress

The trip from Clarksburg, WV to Nashville, TN was safe and uneventful. The main service last night (first service) was great. The keynote message by Brother Shay Mann (General Youth President) was on the topic of going beyond the status quo. Abraham could have easily permitted himself to get stuck at Haran, instead of going on to Canaan, the promised land. But he went beyond Haran. The modern application is that we should not settle for anything less than the fulness of God's calling and blessing (which is sometimes a temptation because we are often too easily satisfied with less than what God has called us to). Today we went to the wonderful Nashville Zoo. We are now preparing for tonight's service.
Praise Report from Fireworks Fundraising!
(Posted Tuesday, July 7, 2009, 3:56pm)
Thanks to all who helped! Whether your help was with keeping children, providing food or fuel, ferrying product, providing companionship, aiding with setting up or tearing down, stocking, selling, cleaning, night guard duty, or running the register, THANK YOU! Special thanks to Sis Joseph and Sis Brandy Benedum for taking point on accounting and book-keeping.
We are working to generate final estimates of overall benefit. There are some variables yet to nail down. One amount yet to be calculated is the exact cost of the credit card processing services. And some credit card deposits may yet come in. The proceeds from CAC's "main" tent at Sam's Club will likely be over $7,000, and the proceeds from CAC's "youth" tent at the Mall will likely be somewhere between $2,200 and $2,300. We will know more as soon as we can finalize the book-keeping. At this point we believe the above estimates are fairly accurate. We will let you know more as soon as we know more. Again, thank you!

Praise Report from Sis Tiffany Hoskins!

Dear Pastor,
Just wanted everyone to know that I received a VERY GOOD report from my MS doctor today. He said the white spots on my brain are very small and not to worry about them. He said he would not recommend medication at this time because I have been doing so well. He considered this acerbation a small one and said he does not expect me to have another one for a while. I am claiming in Jesus Name that I will never have another one. Today is the best I have felt since all of this happened, I still have a little numbing in my hand but he said that is normal. He said hopefully in the next month or so I will be back to 100%. Thank you All sooo much for ALL of your prayers.
We will be moving tomorrow to my parents until we can find a house. Thanks for all of your prayers for Greg. He is soooo excited that God has answered our prayers and we know that he has a plan for us in a house too. Hope all is well. Thanks again for everything!!!
Love you all,
Bro. Greg, Sis. Tiffany and Little Grant
More Holy Ghost infillings! And more souls water baptized in Jesus name!
(Posted Tuesday, May 12, 2009, 5:30pm)
We praise the Lord for yet still more precious souls filled with the Holy Ghost, and for those who have been baptized in His glorious name. On April 26, 2009, in the Sunday evening service,
Chelsea Lightner (a guest) was filled with the Holy Ghost. Then, at the Section 1 Youth Explosion (Rally) at CAC, on May 1, 2009, two brothers,
Steven and Justin Griffin (grandsons of Sis. Ann Jersey), both received the Holy Ghost . They were baptized on Sunday morning, May 3, 2009. One week later, this past Sunday night, on May 10, 2009, two more were filled with the Holy Ghost:
Amber Vogler (a guest) and
Johnathan Sutton. Johnathan's parent, Mike and Trinnie Sutton are thrilled. We are truly blessed.
Awesome Youth Explosion
(Posted Saturday, May 2, 2009, 6:00pm)
Last night's Youth Explosion (which was the first Youth Rally for Section 1 South) was wonderful. The worship and music were tremendous, and the preaching was also great. Two young men received the Holy Ghost for the first time. A man was renewed in the Holy Ghost and delivered from depression. The youth of the section are on fire for God. We made new friends with some great people who came from Section 2 for the event. We're are looking forward to the next Youth Explosion (Rally for Section 1 South) at New Beginnings Worship Center (Pastor Efaw) in Fairmont, on June 5, 2009. Don't miss it!

Congratulations from CAC to Elder David Harris Jr
Congratulations to our new sectional Youth Leader -> Evangelist David Harris Jr! We're excited about you serving in this office. God wants to do even greater things for our Youth in Section 1, and with you leading the way, exciting times are ahead.

CAC's Heritage Service Huge Success
(Posted Sunday, March 29, 2009, 7:23pm)
CAC's anniversary service was awesomely blessed by the Lord! The weather rained out the Biker Sunday and Car Show portions, but the rest was tremendous. We had 21 guests, and a total of 105 in attendance. God moved powerfully during the praise and worship, the preaching, and the altar service. The dinner was fabulous. Nearly everyone stayed for the dinner. The fellowship hall was completely filled plus an overflow room.
NOTE: We'll try to the Biker Sunday again sometime in the future, and hopefully have decent weather.

Bro John Todd Promoted to Glory
(Posted Tuesday, March 17, 2009, 1:49am)
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of saints. On the evening of Monday, March 16, 2009 Brother John Todd went peacefully to be with the Lord. His earthly body was taken to Davis Weaver Funeral Home. We'll get the specific arrangements to you as soon as we know. Please keep all the family members in your prayers.

The Youth Service was wonderful. The youth are on fire for God, and the Lord moved tremendously and amazingly! Lord we praise You!
